What is deliberately not here

No traditional story belonging to a people is retold by us. Those stories belong to the nations they come from and are theirs to tell, not ours to adapt. Where the app teaches an Indigenous language, it was built with the community it belongs to.

No reworded version of anybody's song appears anywhere, including songs that "everybody knows". Knowing a song is not the same as being allowed to print it.

Curriculum names

The names of national curricula, examination boards and their strands are used to describe which programme of studies a topic follows. Light Learning is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by any ministry of education, examination board or school authority.

Software

The app is built with React Native and Expo and uses a number of open-source libraries, each under its own licence, principally MIT and Apache 2.0. The full list with licence texts is inside the app under Settings, and is generated from what is actually installed rather than maintained by hand.

Trademarks

Apple, App Store, iPhone, iPad and TestFlight are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names are the property of their owners.

Six curricula, one app

Every topic below changes with the country: the grade names, the subjects, the exams and the spelling.
